‘Robyn’ is an emotional, alternative indie anthem that those who enjoy the likes of Her’s, Clairo, d4vd, bôa, Mom Jeans. and many more will absolutely adore.
Lead singer, Jaimie, showcases lyrics and vocals that tie in perfectly with ‘Robyn’s airy and dreamy instrumentals. With twinkling guitars that make you feel as though you’re floating, it seems that only ‘Robyn’s hard-hitting, emotional drums, and driving bassline can bring you back to earth.
Through the verses, the vocals and lyricism are haunting and raw. Whilst, in the chorus the way that Jaimie calls for the titular name is enough to pull at anyone’s heartstrings.
The breakdown and buildup skilfully paints a cinematic picture in the mind of the listener: intriguing and suspenseful, before exploding into shoegazey bliss.

This is a song that is heartbreakingly beautiful down to every minor detail, and it’s clear that Jazzcat and all who worked on it mastered and perfected ‘Robyn’ to a tee. It is an incredible work of art that the boys should be extremely proud of, and we at ALTESCAPE encourage all of our readers to give the track a well-deserved listen.
