Having released two singles so far in 2023, Hell Can Wait treated us to their third release this year, ‘Blossom’, on the 11th of August. Unforgiving and intense, yet desperately emotional, ‘Blossom’ toys with melodic hardcore; exposing potent, and tormenting emotions whilst, experimenting with fierce instrumentals and gritty vocals.

Hell Can Wait are a growing alternative metal/hardcore outfit hailing from Brighton. Throughout their 2023 releases- ‘Abbey Gardens’, ‘Disparity’ and most recently ‘Blossom’- we really start to hear Hell Can Wait settling into their distinct sound. While there is still a largely experimental taste to the outfit’s latest single, with ‘Blossom’ we hear a clean well-crafted track that signals a sense of comfort and satisfaction with the track’s achieved sound.

‘Blossom’ toys with themes of depression and hopelessness, with lyrics such as: “I dream of better days’, ‘I’ve got nothing left to give’. Melancholic lyrics teamed with heart-wrenching harsh vocals makes the track despairingly intoxicating. With a tremendous 50 second introduction, Hell Can Wait know how to draw their listeners in and then break their hearts with devastatingly relatable and enthralling lyrics.
Driving, relentless guitar riffs are given a moment to breathe for the track’s mid-song breakdown. Slowing down for a moment to think, and then building up with intensity and fury, ‘Blossom’ is both tormenting and captivating.
You can listen to ‘Blossom’ now on all streaming platforms.
