With their new album ‘!EAT PLASTIC’ on the horizon, German fusion group THE TiPS are fulfilling fans wants and needs with their latest release ‘One’.
Released on the 17th of January, ‘One’ picks us up out of our January blues and throws us into a whirlwind of immersive and intoxicating reggae fury. Masterfully fusing elements of reggae, Hardrock and metalcore, THE TiPS are landing themselves on the map as a revolutionary outfit transcending genre norms.
Born out of Dusseldorf’s underground punk scene, ‘One’ cleverly utilises aspects of the genre whilst evolving into a borderline metalcore sound. Kicking off the track with a fat metalcore riff and eary synths, THE TiPS have us ready to head-bang and then does a 180 as a cosy reggae beat breaks through. Building in intensity, the track toys with aspects of both punk and reggae: whilst some may refer to this as experimental, without a shadow of a doubt, THE TiPS have found their distinct sound. Rolling over with comfort and ease, ‘One’ seethes out confidence and sets an exciting precedent for the band’s upcoming album.
