As December Falls: our favourite pop punk stars that have been capturing hearts since their formation in 2015. Following the extensive applause of their most popular tracks ‘Ride’ and ‘Nothing On You’- released as singles and in previous albums- As December Falls have released their latest album early this year, July 2023. Bringing crashing, anthemic pop-punk drums, electrifying riffs and hard-hitting vocals, here we introduce you to ‘Join The Club’ by As December Falls...

Following the release of 'Join the Club' earlier this year, fans have been enthusiastically praising the band's fresh album. Their songs 'Honey' and 'Carousel' have been especially popular, featuring captivating melodies and powerful lyrics that leave listeners hungry for more.

The band's first track, ‘Join the Club’, is a high-energy, rock-infused masterpiece that immediately immerses and engages the listener. Infectious guitar riffs and intoxicating vocals from lead vocalist Beth, creates a truly unforgettable musical experience. Impressive and effortless, Beth transitions from powerful belts to breathtaking riffs. ‘Join the Club’ perfectly introduces the band's unique and distinct sound, showcasing their exceptional musicianship and talent. The track is a great representation of the style and energy that fans can expect to hear from As December Falls.

A favourite track featured on ‘Join The Club’, must be ‘Honey’. With a mellowed out and slower introduction, the track strays away from the outfit’s usual pounding whirlwind of pop-punk. Instead of throwing us in with a fast-paced beat, the track begins much slower, showcasing virtuosic, melodic guitar creating a sense of anticipation. The audience can feel the energy building as the song progresses, and the eventual drop into As December Falls’ usual pumped-up punky sound does not disappoint and begs to be heard live. This track is not only instrumentally impressive, but Beth’s impressive vocal range is once again spotlighted throughout ‘Honey’.

Toying with a breakdown in their track ‘Mayday’, the outfit seems to be experimenting with heavier characteristics of the genre. Surprisingly, this breakdown slots in perfectly mid song, and seems to bring ‘Mayday’ to an interesting and exciting climax. Seeing As December Falls’ toy with heavier instrumentals is both exciting and refreshing.

Listening to effortlessly smooth transitions between songs, and the undeniably captivating energy of each track, ‘Join The Club’ seems to emphasise the fact that As December Falls have found their feet, creating and releasing music that is both immersive and catchy. It’s without a shadow of a doubt that we can confirm this is As December Falls’ strongest album release of their musical journey so far.

You can listen to As December Falls’ latest album ‘Join The Club’ now on all major streaming platforms. Having seen As December Falls at their Birmingham show this week, you can expect a gig review to follow shortly after this review.
