The Pretty Reckless have finally revealed the official release date of their 4th album, 'Death By Rock And Roll'. The LP is set to be released Febuary 12th 2021.
The band have already released the album's title track, and with driving, powerful guitar riffs, teamed with Taylor Momsen's distinct vocals, the track has set the tone for the new era.
The group, also, put out a surprise song, 'Broomsticks', just in time for Halloween. The nursery rhyme style of the song gave off an, almost, eary atmosphere, suited to the upcoming holiday. 'Broomsticks' has, also, made cut for the new album.
Today, The Pretty Reckless released their latest single, '25'. This track, more or less, solidified the idea that album 4, is a spooky one- especially, being released on Friday 13th.
The track chronicles the vocalist's life, being a part of the rock and roll scene. Taylor has spoken before about having rock and roll idols, since being in her teens, and this song, much like the title track of the album, seems to be a form of appreciation for the genre. '25' was, no doubt, written when the vocalist was 25, and alludes to the tragic Club 27. It is implied that, Taylor recognises that it is unlikely that she will die, as many of the rock and roll icons did, at the age of 27- after being 'at twenty five, and still alive'.
The bridge of the new track, seems to, give off a real Queen influence. We have seen this before, in the band's previous album, 'Who You Selling For', in songs such as: 'The Walls Are Closing In'.
In regard to the new album, Taylor put out an Instagram post sharing the album cover, and in a statement in the caption, she said that 'after years of putting our blood, sweat and tears into the recording I'm so excited for you all to hear it'.
Ultimately, the new track is super impressive, and we imagine the new era for the band could be the best one yet.
