Miley Cyrus has never been your classic pop star, with her music spanning a variety of genres, from: pop, to hip-hop, back to her country roots, and more recently to rock and, even, metal. She recently was a part of 'Save Our Stages Fest'; the virtual event took place October 16th-18th, and involved organisations and artists rallying together to aid independent venues, at risk of closure.

During the virtual festival, Miley covered both The Cure and The Cranberries. After listening to her beautiful cover of 'Zombie', it seems like Miley Cyrus was made for the life of rock and roll. With her rough, almost, growling voice, the artist produced an incredible re-creation of the iconic, grunge song.

Miley isn't stopping there though, she's going heavier. She recently revealed that she is currently working on a Metallica cover album.

This is not the first time that Miley Cyrus has tackled a Metallica song. Back in 2019, during her Glastonbury performance, the artist covered 'Nothing Else Matters'. If the album turns out anything like that cover, we are absolutely in for a treat!

The artist has, certainly, been hard at work in the studio. Not only is her Metallica cover album in the works, she is also working on her own latest album, 'Plastic Hearts'. After releasing her hit single 'Midnight Sky', in August 2020, Miley has been in the process of creating her new album.

Speaking of her new album, Miley said 'it will be reflective of who I am'. We can't wait for Miley's Metallica cover album and, are looking forward to her new album embodying everything that she is, as an artist.
