Machine Gun Kelly released his show stopping Pop-punk album, ' Tickets To My Downfall', on the 25th of September, and it's safe to say that the album was a great success.

The album featured iconic artists of the genre, such as: Bert McCracken of The Used, Travis Barker and YUNGBLUD. He also had features including: Halsey, Blackbear, Iann Dior and Trippie Red.

Machine Gun Kelly has really proved himself as the exceptionally versatile artist he is, claiming territory across multiple genres.

The rapper has seemingly became a Pop-punk star overnight, and he is definitely not stopping just yet.

In a recent interview with NME magazine the artist revealed that he will soon be releasing a 'Pop-punk Grease'. The musical is directed by Colson Baker himself and, as it is his first time directing, it will be interesting to see how the artist can break into yet another realm of talent. Baker, in the NME interview, said that 'it was almost like shooting 14 music videos back-to-back , but with a narrative that's outside my personal life stories', the musical focusses on other characters with Colson Baker and Travis Barker as the narrators.

Machine Gun Kelly's un-ignorable entrance into the Pop-punk scene and his musical to pair the album, reaches a whole new audience bringing the Pop-punk genre back into mainstream charts. Baker is currently at #17 with 'Tickets To My Downfall' in the official Rock and Metal Album Chart Top 40.

Here at ALT ESACPE_ we are in desperate anticipation for the release of Baker's new musical and any of his future Pop-punk projects. Stay tuned for any updates.
