Evanescence are due to release their upcoming album 'The Bitter Truth' in late March, and so far have released 5 tracks from the 12 track album. The band released their latest single from 'The Bitter Truth' 5 days ago.

'Better Without You' is an empowering detailing of Amy Lee's journey and struggles in the music industry. The track is a fierce declaration of independence. The lyrics: 'it makes me smile to know that I'm better without you' imply a sense of gratitude and contentment now that Evanescence can declare themselves independent artists- free from the constraints of a record label.

In previous releases, such as: 'Use My Voice', Evanescence have already taken on a hugely empowering role. 'The Bitter Truth', so far, seems to be an unapologetic drive for empowerment and independence. 'Use My Voice' features The Pretty Reckless' Taylor Momsen, and Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Exciting, female features from the hard rock scene only emphasise the empowerment of Evanescence's upcoming album.

The track list for 'The Bitter Truth' is as follows:

01. Artifact/The Turn

02. Broken Pieces Shine

03. The Game Is Over

04. Yeah Right

05. Feeding The Dark

06. Wasted On You

07. Better Without You

08. Use My Voice

09. Take Cover

10. Far From Heaven

11. Part Of Me

12. Blind Belief
