long-awaited second single ‘Outcry’ released today, 11th November 2022. ‘Mother’ was received wonderfully with local alternative fans, and since then E-PO have made a tremendous start to their musical journey with a plethora of exciting live performances meanwhile also signing to River St Records.
‘Outcry’ opens with a political punch ‘there’s no justice without peace’ and continues to pummel the listener with a critical, mesmerising attack on today's government and the naivety of society. The song toys with themes of media and government control, exploring the ignorance of society whilst illuminating the ways in which our privacy is exploited in our day to day lives. 'Outcry’s' lyrics are both vital and violent, desperate yet cynical, and critically mesmerising, the track drags E-PO into the political spotlight, with them actively voicing their opinions on the current state of the world.
The track showcases the intense vocal talent of lead vocalist Dulcie Johnson, complimented immaculately with the powerful, alternative pop-rock sounds of E-PO's guitarists Tom Davies and Tamzin Langley. The bouncy, driving instrumental, and pop-punk vocals reminds me of no other than alt- rock royalty, Paramore.

Summarising ‘Outcry’, E-PO spoke to us briefly: ‘We’re big on theming our songs around mainstream issues. Outcry talks about the control that social media and authoritarian figures have over society. We were particularly inspired by the way that people’s opinions were formed, directed, and polarised on social media’.
The beauty of this track is the hopelessly honest pessimism tied with the desperate begging for change. ‘Outcry’ perfectly illuminates the feelings of our generation: unmatched
pessimism, critical mindsets and no faith in our government. Brutally honest and fiercely critical: the only appropriate way to end 2022.
You can now listen to ‘Outcry’ on all major streaming platforms. You can also catch E-PO live on the 23rd of November supporting Graywave at Deadwax in Digbeth.
