Today, As December Falls have released their latest single, 'Afterglow'. After much suspenseful teasing over the last month, the start of the new era for the Pop-punk, 4-piece has begun.
Back on November 6th, we wrote an article anticipating the release of the group's new music, and the big build up has not gone to waste. The new single, has blessed us with the distinct, 'As December Falls', characteristics that the band displayed in their 2019, debut album; whilst including some new, developed aspects.
'Afterglow', opens with an incredible guitar riff that, almost, sounds like it could fit into My Chemical Romance's, 'Danger Days', album. The track toys with some heavier aspects such as: the driving drum beats, and powerful guitar riff, whilst maintaining the energy-fuelled, Pop-punk style- that the band do so well.
As December Falls have really brought the energy of their hit single, 'Ride', into this single- with the track just screaming to be played live. After the, merciless, teasing for 'Afterglow', the band's fans can, finally, see the significance of all of the social media posts featuring neon lights- especially, with the vibrant music video for 'Afterglow'.
The only thing we have left to question, now, is whether 'Afterglow' will be the lead single on the band's upcoming album 'Happier'? What ever the band has install for us, this new track is a promising start to As December Falls' new era.
