Today, Yungblud has released his latest single, 'Acting Like That'. The track features Machine Gun Kelly: who recently broke into the Pop-punk genre, with his hit album 'Tickets To My Downfall', as well as Blink 182's drummer, Travis Barker.
This is not the first time that the 3 artists have collaborated on a track. After last year's huge, hit single, 'I Think I'm Okay', Yungblud, Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Barker, as well The Used's Bert McCracken, birthed 'Body Bag' just 2 months ago. Now, MGK, Yungblud, and Travis Barker have combined their musical talents again in today's release.
'Acting Like That' is set to be included on Yungblud's upcoming album 'Weird!'- ready to be released on December 4th. 'Weird!' is Yungblud's sophomore album, and so far the artist has pushed the release date back from November 13th, to later this week. Yungblud claimed that the postponed album was as a consequence of the inevitable effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic had, hence, caused delays in production.
'Acting Like That', opens up with a driving Pop-punk drum beat, and as MGK comes in with his vocal work, an almost rap style beat is introduced. This rap-style beat reoccurs for the verses of the song whilst, a distinct Pop-punk, pulsing beat is used for the choruses. The chorus's catchy lyrics 'You're way to hot to be acting like that', race around your head repeatedly after the song is over.
Ultimately, the new single is a perfect asset to Yungblud's upcoming album, and we can't wait to see 'Weird!' in it's entirety.
